To the Fruit Tree sale at the County Extension Office was undertaken today. This being a new county, we weren't really sure what to expect but it worked out pretty well overall.
Being a more rural area, folks were generally quite polite; there was no weapons check/issuing, presumably because every around here is armed at all times (particularly during hog season). The selection wasn't quite as extensive as some others, but the trees were of significantly higher quality than I generally see at these events.
We arrived early but there was already a considerable line; the sale area was well layed out and roomy enough to maneuver the wagons easily. For Higher Ground we got a satsuma and avocado; Granny got a satsuma, Republic of Texas orange, and an avocado; the rest I'm not sure of, but we got a T shirt for spending lots of money!
