It being, of course, all about the food-in the unlikely event you didn't notice, S@HG is very Southern:
The Menu:
Honey Baked Ham with Secret Sauce
Itty Bitty Rosemary Potatoes
Roasted Asparagus with Lemon Butter
Straight From the Garden Salad
Teensy Tomatoes in Basil & Basalmic
Obligatory Deviled Eggs
Yeasty Rolls
And for Dessert, only one because it's just that good:
Meyer Lemon Cheesecake
Thanks to the Girls for the eggs, the Liittle Girls for the honey and all the fruit and garden goodness and abundant citrus crop (especially the Meyers) and no thanks to the strangely cool weather such that we have almost no flowers for the table. (The few Cabbage Roses do smell lovely though). Inquiring minds will ask about the ham, and no, feral hogs sadly don't make ham nor bacon.
For now, you just get a picture of TeaRose (Me!); menu items to follow.
Update: sudden onset severe weather prevented further photodocumentation of the festivities, what a surprise!

The Great 2013 Diller Invasion
There have been a few skirmishes previously, but it's all out war now. One of these guys has moved in and set up housekeeping in the cabbages. Once they're moved in its hard to get rid of them, sort of like barn cats.
Actually Donkey World really enjoys them (dillers, not barn cats) as they make good soccer balls. That and carrying leprosy is about all they're good for however.

Fences and Trails
Between a couple of harsh winters followed by severe drought there are a lot of dead trees around here, mostly hackberry, which of course grow to enormous sizes before splintering into big, dangerous chunks at random moments. The area is heavily wooded and maintaining the fences has become a big chore. Making repairs however has the benefit of clearing nice wide trails that'll be great for riding Noble Steeds, golf carts, 4 Wheelers, whatever.
You'll recognize some of the help. Dolly hasn't broken into the garden this year but, she's helping Granny watch her diet by eating up about a ton of cheese crackers; at least she doesn't drink her wine. The same cannot be said for Red Screw Top who gets her own six pack now on work days; Shiner Bock is her beverage of choice.
