Horsey Camp starts in few days, so today was Moving Day. Bright and early the Trailer and The Hooptie (Big Black Truck) were conjoined. Just as an aside, this morning I found the trailer light pigtail; the Hooptie has not one, not two, but three light connections, all functional, but not necessarily easy to find. Anyway, we loaded up The Pirate and Teh Princess and then proceeded over to Hailey's barn to pick up Roxie. As another aside, Haileys barn used to be my brothers; he lives across the street now and only keeps kids, chickens, and Granny.
After dropping off the Camp Horses, much to Red Screw Tops delight, we went to look at a new horse for Haileys mom. Talk about a fantastic farm! A tropical paradise with multiple small barns, including a stud barn, with arenas and a couple of round pens.
We rode Harley on the beautifully manicured front lawn; he ate some of the white gingers but I don't think anyone else noticed...they did notice when he ate the Pink Ti though. Harley is a drop dead gorgeous double registered palomino paint quarter horse (sound familiar?) that stands just over sixteen hands. He's a bit rank, having last been ridden over three years ago, but we're going back in a few days for a second look, after he's been worked a bit. He was not the highlight of the trip though.
He's looking for a home because his mom now raises Arabs. We got to meet the Babies; if Mandy goes missing, well you'll know where to look! I think The Hoopster looks pretty good for having 400K on him:
