Prudence

Strikes again, this time as kolaches:


Pretty clearly a lot of time was not spent on appearance, but this was a spearmint after all.  They are mostly jalapeno, but a few without, for the faint of heart.    

The key ingredient inspiring the whole thing is a new Ekrich smoked breakfast sausage which is just right for the application.  The bread is pretty simple, just some butter, an egg, and a touch of sugar.  They didn't brown well, so next time I'll skip the sugar and try an egg wash.
