VSV Ebov

A few days ago, a planned interim review of an Ebola vaccine being trialed in Guinea ... Demonstrated about 100% protection, and possibly therapeutic effect, in treated patients.

At this time, I've scanned the abstract and took a look at the methods, and it looks good.  About 4,000 patients were enrolled, a decent number, especially for such a rare disease.  The Lancet article is widely available on the interwebs.

This has potential to be a game changer, however long term follow up remains to be done.  And, keep in mind there are other strains of EBOV, and this vaccine may or may not provide protection.
