Mission Accomplished

It's once again sweatshirt weather (gotta love global warming!) in June here in the Deepest South, so today you get a golf cart tour of The Trails (its also raining). Upon arrival here at SHG, it's been a goal to have a perimeter path to make fence maintenance easier. We now have about a mile (used in a creative fashion) of poorly groomed, mostly shaded paths, suitable for virtually nothing,

They are muddy, covered in poison ivy, thorny brambles (wait-a-minute bushes as my dad used to call 'em), infested with blood thirsty, disease ridden, minature vampires, and one very large and rather aggressive Boar Hog. The latter caused me to hike up my skirts and run squealing for The Baconater a couple of days ago. But, The Trails are a now the Main Feature.

Me and The Screw Top walk them daily, and ride them occasionally; Rapunzel runs them (or says she wiil). Last nite The Commandant took me on an alcohol infused midnight four wheeling expedition. It went pretty good, and the bruises on my arse, acquired from jumping off The Hill several times, will fade promptly.

Speaking of The Hill, in the Big Plan, the trails will acquire some obstacles. There are already some figure eights, weaving, and backing areas. I'd like a snake breeder (aka a water feature) and a couple of cut outs for ariel maneuvers (jumps). We've four or five acres yet to be incorporated. Anyway, here's some pictures; if you look closely you can see all sorts of life endangering stuff, Honda motor vehicles notwithstanding:

Updated: since this was posted, further grooming has been undertaken; it's almost civilized out there now!
